Often pleased. Never satisfied.
I've always been wired to find a better way. Not for the sake of change, but because I genuinely believe every system has room to improve. That's been the through-line across everything I've built.
Sometimes the better way is AI. Sometimes it's better strategy, a cleaner process, or a tool that already exists but nobody thought to use. I don't lead with the technology. I lead with the problem, then harness whatever emerging tech actually fits.
The through line
My career started behind the camera, building multi-camera arrays for helicopters and operating drones on films like Black Panther and Tomb Raider. On a film set, when everything clicks, the crew finds their rhythm and the shot comes together. That feeling is what I now help teams build.
One exit (StreamVT, acquired), four companies, and a decade of taking ideas from zero to one. Most days I'm working with enterprise and high-growth teams: 20+ active clients, 300+ stakeholders, Fortune 100 companies in tech, automotive, and energy.
How I work
My approach starts with the uncomfortable questions. I challenge assumptions about what's actually broken before I touch a single tool. Then I prototype fast, with real data and real constraints. That's usually where skepticism turns into momentum.
What keeps me in this work is the ripple effect. When a team trusts their system enough to stop second-guessing and start building, everything downstream changes. Making the people around me better at what they do is the only metric that matters to me.
Background
I've lived and worked in South Africa for 7 years, spent time in the Middle East, and am currently based in Austin, TX. I've worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment and tech, including Disney, Marvel, Apple TV+, Rivian, and Porsche.
My previous ventures include Film Gear South Africa (Africa's first and largest e-commerce store for professional film equipment), Kelvin Corner (a co-working space for creatives in Cape Town), StreamVT (bonded cellular streaming platform, successfully exited), and ShowCal (workforce management for entertainment, actively building).
From film sets to your business
Building my own companies taught me how to read a business fast. I learned to spot what's broken, prototype a fix, and iterate through experiments at a pace that matches or exceeds the speed a business is comfortable moving. That's the same instinct I brought from film sets into consulting: solve the problem in front of you, move to the next one, keep the momentum going.
If you're feeling stuck or ready to make the next step from a technology standpoint, I'd love to talk.
