Hi, I'm Rob Weidner. I've spent my career blending entrepreneurial expertise with a deep technical skillset, and I'm excited to share my journey with you. My background in aerial cinematography allowed me to capture stunning visuals from unique perspectives, working with some of the biggest names in the industry including Disney, Marvel, Apple TV, Rivian, and Porsche. But my passion for innovation led me to found several successful ventures.
I co-founded Film Gear South Africa, an e-commerce platform that thrived for seven years, and also launched a co-working space that quickly became a hub for creativity and collaboration. My entrepreneurial path didn't stop there—I went on to create StreamVT, a pioneering video streaming company that bonded multiple internet sources to deliver zero-latency, high-definition video streams globally. This solution became instrumental in the world of production streaming, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I've lived and worked in South Africa for 7 years, spent time in the Middle East, and am currently based in North America. International business is incredibly fascinating to me, and I find myself constantly drawn to opportunities that sit at the cutting edge of innovation. I have a passion for getting my hands dirty when needed, but at the same time, I appreciate the space for deep work and creative problem-solving.
