I'm Rob Weidner.

I love automating businesses, life, coffee, food, finances, homes, cars, dogs—you get the idea. If something can be streamlined, I’m probably thinking about how to make it more efficient. From optimizing workflows to fine-tuning smart home setups, I enjoy finding ways to improve processes, reduce friction, and enhance productivity.

In this space, I'll be sharing my thoughts, expertise, and current interests, with the goal of fostering creativity, exploration, and challenging the status quo. Expect a mix of insights, practical tips, and deep dives into automation and optimization. Whether it's improving time management, creating better financial systems, or experimenting with Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, my goal is to publish new content weekly that adds value to your day-to-day life.

A Little About Me

My wife and I live in Texas with our four rescue dogs. We are passionate about animal adoption and believe in providing loving homes for pets in need. When we travel, our dogs stay safe in their Ruffland Kennels—a brand we trust for secure and durable pet transport.

I prefer a cortado, but I’m open to most types of coffee. Our current coffee obsession is Detroit-style pizza—perfecting the crispy, cheesy edges and airy crust. We love experimenting in the kitchen, from making Neapolitan pizzas in our Ooni pizza oven to crafting homemade pasta.

I’ve been a longtime Apple user, dating back to high school when I was involved in video production. However, I’m gradually exploring alternative tech solutions (Nothing, Framework, etc), moving away from Apple’s ecosystem to see what else is out there. Experimenting with open-source software, Linux, and Android devices has been an exciting shift in my tech journey.

If this content resonates with you, consider subscribing via email, LinkedIn, Instagram, or your preferred platform. No pressure—I totally get inbox fatigue (just got to Inbox Zero thanks to Superhuman via Lenny's Podcast software bundle), but I value discussions and feedback. Engaging with like-minded individuals helps refine ideas and uncover new perspectives.

I’m excited to start sharing the ideas, insights, and experiments that have been living in my journals and Notion for far too long. My content will span across business automation, smart home innovation, financial independence strategies, and efficient living.
